On May 15, 2026, the inauguration conference of the Power Electronics Branch of the China Electricity Council (CEC) was grandly held in Guangzhou, China. Notably, Jiashan Sun.King Power Electronic Capacitor Co., Ltd. (“Jiashan Sun.King Capacitor”), a subsidiary of Sun.King Technology Group, was selected as the only capacitor manufacturer among the branch members.

Centered on the theme of “Aggregation · Collaboration · Leadership — Power Electronics Empowering the Construction of New Power Systems”, the conference brought together over 180 representatives from organizations including the National Energy Administration, the China Electricity Council, China Southern Power Grid, Tsinghua University, Huawei, and Sungrow, marking a significant milestone for the industry.

The Secretariat of the CEC Power Electronics Branch is established at the China Southern Power Grid Research Institute and is supported by a Technical Advisory Expert Committee composed of 46 leading industry experts. Among the highly anticipated list of vice-chair member organizations and technical experts, Mr. Zuo Qianglin, General Manager of Jiashan Sun.King Capacitor, was selected into the expert committee. Meanwhile, the company became the only capacitor manufacturing enterprise represented in the branch, highlighting its benchmark position in the field of power electronic capacitors.

In recent years, Jiashan Sun.King Capacitor has continuously strengthened its R&D investment and established one of China’s leading research and testing platforms for power capacitors. Its products have been widely deployed in multiple UHVDC transmission projects, offshore wind flexible DC transmission systems, and 100MW-class energy storage power stations, becoming an indispensable part of China’s domestic power electronics equipment supply chain.

As a member of the CEC Power Electronics Branch, Jiashan Sun.King Capacitor will work closely with industry partners to address key challenges including system stability and equipment reliability, accelerate the localization of critical components, and promote Chinese power electronics technologies, standards, and equipment to the global market.
