Recently, Wuxi SunKing Power Capacitor Co., Ltd. (“Wuxi SunKing”), a subsidiary of SUNKING.TECH, held a grand product dispatch ceremony, marking the official batch shipment and delivery of filter bank units for the Dalat Converter Station of the Mengxi–Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei ±800 kV UHV DC Transmission Project.

Backed by core R&D expertise honed in the power equipment sector, intelligent and efficient production systems, stringent, end-to-end quality control standards, and consistently reliable, high-performance products, Wuxi SunKing stood out amid fierce industry competition to secure the capacitor supply contract for the new Dalat Converter Station of the project in November 2025. The total rated capacity of the order reaches 3,428 Mvar (3.428 million kvar). Aligned with the project’s overall construction schedule, all products will be fully delivered by mid-November 2026 to fully support the project’s key construction milestones.

As a critical national backbone energy transmission initiative, the Mengxi–Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei ±800 kV UHV DC transmission line carries immense strategic significance. Running from the Dalat Converter Station in Ordos, Inner Mongolia to the Xiongnan Converter Station in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, the roughly 700-kilometer transmission corridor spans three provincial-level regions: Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, and Hebei. With a rated voltage of ±800 kV and rated transmission capacity of 8,000 MW (8 GW), the project represents a total investment of approximately RMB 17.2 billion, and is scheduled to be fully completed and put into formal operation in 2027.

The project innovatively adopts the industry-leading “Double 800” UHV hybrid DC transmission technology, which delivers a step-change improvement to long-distance, large-capacity transmission of renewable energy. It is precisely tailored to match the power output and grid consumption demands of large-scale new energy bases, effectively optimizes regional energy allocation structures, and strengthens the safety and stability foundation of the North China main power grid. As a core hub project, it advances China’s west-to-east power transmission strategy, supports renewable energy grid integration and consumption, and drives coordinated regional energy development.
