On September 30, SUN.KING Technology announced that SUN.KING Power Electronics Devices received a purchase order for the "Saudi Arabia Central and Southern Flexible Direct Current Project", involving a total amount of approximately RMB 479 million.

SUN.KING Technology has been closely linked to China's DC transmission in the 22 years since its establishment. SUN.KING Technology has a solid leading position in the industry for a number of key components such as anode saturable reactors and power capacitor for conventional UHV DC transmission, high-power IGBTs, DC link capacitor, and laminated busbars for flexible UHV DC transmission, and has participated in 46 DC transmission projects so far.

The Saudi Central and Western and Central and Southern projects involved in this order are major national projects of Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" and are currently the hybrid bridge topology flexible DC projects with the highest voltage level and the largest transmission capacity in the world outside of my country. The project will build four ±500 kV flexible DC transmission converter stations in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the southern city of Jizan, and the western city of Jeddah, with a total transmission capacity of 7 million kilowatts. The system commissioning is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.
