Sun.King Technology Visits Vietnam Electricity (EVN) to Explore New Opportunities for Power Cooperation

Date: 2025-11-17

To further deepen collaboration in the power sector between China and Vietnam, Sun.King Technology Chairman Mr. Xiang Jie led a company delegation to Vietnam from November 10 to 13. The team visited Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and its key subsidiaries, including the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) and the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC). This in-depth engagement clarified future cooperation directions and laid a solid foundation for Sun.King Technology’s expansion into the Southeast Asian market.

EVN is the core entity responsible for Vietnam’s national energy supply. During the meetings, EVN leaders highlighted the country’s rapidly rising electricity demand and the resulting power shortages that constrain economic development. They introduced Vietnam’s current power generation structure—dominated by thermal and hydropower with accelerating growth in renewables—and provided detailed insights into investment policies and development plans for grid upgrades and inter-regional transmission. EVN representatives also addressed key issues such as project financing, applicable standards, and construction requirements.

For new supplier admission, EVN offered clear guidance on tendering procedures, qualification reviews, and project application processes, helping remove institutional barriers to future cooperation.

Sun.King Technology showcased its strong capabilities in power equipment and its extensive experience in major national projects, including China’s ultra-high-voltage (UHV) transmission network. Through case demonstrations and technical videos, the team presented proven achievements in grid security, equipment monitoring, and a new generation of power capacitor solutions.

EVN expressed strong interest in Sun.King’s online monitoring technologies and power capacitor systems. Both sides conducted in-depth technical discussions and reached preliminary consensus on product adaptation and localized service models, identifying these technologies as a core direction for future collaboration.

The delegation also visited other key Vietnamese energy enterprises. This visit marks an important step in Sun.King Technology’s global expansion. Chairman Xiang emphasized the strong industrial complementarity between China and Vietnam, stating that Sun.King is committed to providing customized technical solutions and full-lifecycle services for Vietnamese partners. EVN also expressed its expectation to advance practical cooperation and leverage Chinese technologies to address Vietnam’s power shortages.

Next, both sides will establish a dedicated working group to accelerate project implementation, aiming to achieve technical integration and breakthrough demonstrations, contributing to deeper China–Vietnam energy cooperation and regional development.
