Sun.King Technology Showcases Three Major Fusion Power Products at the CINIE Expo 2025

Date: 2025-11-14

Shenzhen, China – November 12, 2025
Sun.King Technology Group presented three flagship fusion-related products — Pulse Power Switch, Pulse Capacitor, and Reactive Power Compensation System — at the 4th China Nuclear Energy High-Quality Development Conference and Shenzhen International Nuclear Industry Innovation Expo 2025. These products exemplify the company’s deep expertise in power electronics and its commitment to providing core technological support for cutting-edge nuclear energy applications worldwide.

Advanced Power Electronics Serving the Entire Nuclear Energy Value Chain

With over two decades of experience in power semiconductor devices and advanced power electronic systems, Sun.King Technology’s business spans UHVDC transmission, renewable energy, and high-energy physics research.
The three showcased fusion products demonstrate the company’s continuous innovation in high-power electronic technologies.

  • Pulse Power Switches play a      critical role in fusion research, addressing the demanding requirements      for high-energy, high-speed pulse discharge systems. Developed by Astrol      Electronic AG, a Swiss subsidiary of Sun.King Technology, these      switches have become trusted components in major international fusion      projects. Over the past decade, Astrol has designed and manufactured      customized power electronic equipment for research institutions such as Tri      Alpha Energy (U.S.), Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics      (Germany), European Spallation Source (Sweden), and DESY      (Germany).
To date, Astrol has supplied pulse power switch solutions for over 80      international scientific projects, including controllable nuclear      fusion and high-energy particle research, and recently secured a new order      from a leading U.S. fusion company. This underscores Sun.King Technology’s      strong presence in global frontier research programs.
  • Pulse Capacitors are another key      component in controlled fusion systems, offering high safety,      precision, and efficiency. With an operating voltage up to 30 kVDC      and capacitance of 20 μF, these capacitors are designed to meet the      demanding energy storage and release requirements of fusion devices.      Leveraging decades of R&D experience, Sun.King’s capacitor products      have reached world-class performance standards.
  • Reactive Power Compensation Systems,      including SVC (Static Var Compensator) and SVG (Static Var      Generator) solutions, provide dynamic reactive power support      for nuclear power systems. These devices enhance power factor, stabilize      system voltage, and ensure reliable grid operation — capabilities already      proven in multiple critical power infrastructure projects.

Global Collaboration and Innovation Driving the Future of Nuclear Energy

Sun.King Technology integrates global technical resources through an internationalized strategy. Its subsidiary Astrol AG holds certifications from DNV (Norway), CCS (China), and other major classification societies, and leads globally in solid-state DC circuit breaker technology. The company has also participated in high-profile research programs such as CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) and China’s high-speed maglev projects, gaining extensive experience in developing advanced equipment for next-generation applications.

“Nuclear energy is a vital pillar of the new energy system, directly linked to national strategic and energy security,”
said a Sun.King Technology spokesperson.
“Through this exhibition, we aim to share our latest innovations in nuclear energy technologies, engage with industry peers, and contribute to the sustainable and high-quality development of the nuclear sector.”

As the nuclear industry moves toward greater safety, efficiency, and sustainability, Sun.King Technology’s cutting-edge power electronic solutions will continue to empower innovation in nuclear equipment.
Participation in the Shenzhen Nuclear Expo further strengthens the company’s commitment to advancing technological collaboration and industry integration, contributing to China’s dual-carbon goals and the vision of becoming a global nuclear technology leader.
