On January 21, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology announced the 2025 Zhejiang Province First Set (Unit) Equipment List. Among the selected projects, the “±500 kV HVDC Controlled Line-Commutated Converter Ultra-thin Damping Capacitor DKMJ3.6-15”, developed with the participation of Ningbo Hairong Electric  Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sun.King Technology, was successfully selected. This marks that the product has received provincial-level authoritative recognition for achieving major technological breakthroughs and possessing independent intellectual property rights, injecting new momentum into the localization process of China’s core HVDC transmission equipment.

The converter valve is the “heart” of an HVDC transmission project, while the damping capacitor is a key core component within the converter valve that ensures stable power transmission and suppresses harmonic interference, and is known in the industry as the “pacemaker within the heart.”
The DKMJ3.6-15 ultra-thin damping capacitor developed by Ningbo Hairong Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. features three major technological breakthroughs: ultra-thin design, full-offset square-wave absorption, and resistance to ionization corrosion. The product owns multiple independent intellectual property rights, breaks the foreign technological monopoly on core components for UHVDC transmission, and realizes independent and controllable development of key equipment.

The Zhejiang Province First Set (Unit) Equipment Certification is an official recognition for high-end equipment products that have achieved major technological breakthroughs, possess independent intellectual property rights, and demonstrate significant market competitiveness. It aims to promote high-quality development of the manufacturing industry and the deep integration of technological innovation, as administered by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology.
