On June 11, 2025, the global annual event for the solar and energy storage industry—SNEC 18th (2025) International PV Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition (SNEC PV+ 2025)—was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). As a global barometer for the development trends in the photovoltaic and energy storage industries—spanning technical routes, equipment manufacturing, market positioning, and application models—this year’s exhibition brought together top-tier enterprises and cutting-edge technologies, attracting the attention of professionals from around the world.
As a key component supplier and innovation-driven enterprise in the new energy industry chain, Sun.King Technology made a stunning appearance with its independently developed IGBT and SiC chips and modules, laminated busbars, integrated busbars, and power electronic capacitors. The company showcased its latest R&D achievements in the fields of photovoltaics, energy storage, and power electronics system integration, becoming one of the highlights of the exhibition.
Against the backdrop of the global effort to address climate change and promote green transformation, the development of the photovoltaic industry has laid a solid foundation for the low-carbon energy transition. Energy storage, as a key enabling technology of the energy revolution, plays a critical role in building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system. Sun.King's independently developed IGBT and SiC chips and modules, laminated busbars, integrated busbars, and power electronic capacitors stood out at the event with their outstanding performance, drawing the attention and interest of many domestic and international attendees. The exhibition fully demonstrated Sun.King Technology's leadership and innovation in the new energy sector.
Sun.King's self-developed ED-packaged IGBT modules feature the i20 series trench gate IGBT chips and a "linear-type" optimized design that significantly improves current balancing performance while reducing losses and ensuring chip matching and reliability. These modules achieve an industry-leading maximum operating junction temperature of 175°C and are available in various models, including 1200V and 1700V. They have broad application prospects in photovoltaics, energy storage, renewable power generation, electric vehicles, and industrial applications.
In addition, Sun.King also showcased a series of industrial application modules based on its i20 IGBT chips, such as the ST, EP, FP, and BEVD-packaged IGBT modules, which are widely used in photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, electric vehicles, and other fields. Also featured were high-performance module products for electric vehicles based on Sun.King's SiC MOSFET chips, including the HEEV and EVD-packaged SiC modules, which became key highlights at the show.
Sun.King also presented several world-leading technologies and products, including laminated busbars, integrated busbars, and power electronic capacitors, all of which stood out for their efficiency, intelligence, and sustainability—earning widespread recognition and high praise from industry experts and customers alike.
Laminated busbars, as key components in power distribution, are widely used in UHV transmission, renewable energy generation, and industrial frequency conversion applications. Their compact structure and high reliability have been recognized by international clients. Integrated busbars offer highly integrated solutions for battery systems and power supply applications, combining reliable electrical connections, current/temperature sensing, and structural support in a compact and easy-to-install design, compatible with various battery cell structures.
Power electronic capacitors are broadly applied in renewable energy, energy storage, inverters, and flexible DC transmission. They provide strong technical support for new energy and industrial frequency conversion applications. These products have been successfully applied in more than 20 UHVDC transmission projects. Sun.King’s DC-link capacitor series has passed national-level scientific achievement appraisal and has reached internationally advanced performance standards. The company has successfully replaced imported products in China’s first UHV flexible DC transmission project (Gan-Zhe Project), achieving a domestic market share of 62.5%.
As the global push for green energy transformation accelerates, the photovoltaic and energy storage industries are experiencing rapid growth and expanding market scales. With world-class technology and outstanding product performance, Sun.King Technology continues to leverage its strong technical capabilities in photovoltaic energy storage, new energy generation, and transmission, actively supporting China’s “dual carbon” goals and contributing to the development of a new power system.
