Sun.King Technology Powers the Successful Commissioning of the Hami–Chongqing ±800kV UHVDC Project

Date: 2025-06-20

On June 10, the Hami–Chongqing ±800kV ultra-high-voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission project — a key component of China's national energy strategy — was officially put into operation. As one of the 102 major projects outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan and a vital part of the "Xinjiang electricity to Chongqing" initiative, the project plays a significant role in advancing China’s clean energy goals and contributing to the realization of its "dual carbon" targets.

As a leading domestic developer of power electronic components, Sun. King Technology has provided robust technical support to this "energy superhighway" through its advanced anode saturated reactors, power capacitors, and online monitoring solutions — all known for their strong R&D foundation and superior product quality.

The launch ceremony on June 10 was attended by senior officials including Ma Xingrui (Party Secretary of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region), Yuan Jiajun (Party Secretary of Chongqing), Erkin Tuniyaz (Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of Xinjiang), and Hu Henghua (Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Chongqing). Also present were Zhang Zhigang (Chairman and Party Secretary of State Grid Corporation of China) and Pang Xiaogang (General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of State Grid). The event was presided over by Pan Jingdong, Vice General Manager of State Grid.

The successful commissioning of the Hami–Chongqing project marks another milestone in China's high-voltage power transmission efforts.
